More on Check
The check section of each Game2Learn educational product is designed to enable children to demonstrate their understand of foundational math skills by independently completing a variety of activities.
The activities in Check reflect the games and puzzles the child was exposed to in Learn and explored in Play. This consistency reduces anxiety of the ‘unknown’ so the child is able to confidently apply what they have learnt from previous sections.
Building Solid Connections
The Check section helps the child make solid connections between the concepts covered in Learn, the processes used to complete Play and the Check activities. In Check, the child receives no direct feedback from the program. This creates a reflective environment where the child and the coach can constructively and supportively discuss the level of learning demonstrated by the child.
Active Application
Check enables the child to apply what they have learnt in varied ways. This builds their self confidence and the knowledge that they are capable of thinking and working mathematically to complete specific math tasks ‘by themselves’.
