Collaborative Learning
The design of Game2Learn education products can also be used to foster collaborative learning and peer mentoring. In addition to the social benefits of collaborative learning, when learners work together they are better placed to clarify and solve problems.
By discussing the task at hand and observing the strategies used by their peers, children are able to organise their own thinking and better understand essential math concepts.
Through a collaborative social learning experience, children are able to observe and model the behaviour and responses of their peers as they work together to achieve a common goal.
In addition to improving mathematical understandings, the collaborative learning approach fostered by Game2Learn educational products also help children to develop their social-emotional skills as they use and refine their communication, problem solving and negotiation skills to mentor their peers and/or collaboratively complete math tasks.
All of which are critical skills for a successful lifelong learner in the 21st century.
